NURA
Move at the speed of thought.
__________________
Project Nura explores new ways of motorcycle movement by using synthetic muscles and a neural link helmet. Imagine a motorcycle controlled at the speed of thought, feeding sensory data directly to the rider predicting hazards, revealing road conditions, and enhancing perception. Whatever the bike senses, you sense; whatever you think, it does.

Process
The 'what if' moment

The idea for the project came from taking a figure drawing class where there was a big focus on human anatomy. It was incredible to me how advanced the human body is as a biological machine. Then the thought occured to me, what if a motorcycle could be more human.

Process
Always Learning

Personal projects like these, are a way for me to keep learning. It allows me to explore new technical feature of a program, learn about human anatomy, understand how hossack motorcycle suspensions work, or apply a new video editing technique.
Process
Not about the tool

I tend to get to 3D mock-ups early in the design process while following a clear 2D concept sketch as a guide. From there I begin a process of bouncing back and forth from 2D to 3D focusing on big picture and eventually landing on details.
